OK for support or cosplay, not for true tightlacing
This garment provides nice support if needed for back problems and also offers moderate shaping. However, it is not constructed for true waist reduction (waist training or tight-lacing). The mesh stretches after a few hours of wear so that you don't have the same tightness and support you started with when you put it on. After a few wears, the mesh was permanently stretched. In addition, the boning does not extend into the top and bottom hem. As a result, the hems fold in over the top and bottom of the boning, leaving it protruding out as the fabric isn't strong enough to pull the boning in with it. This makes it rather uncomfortable to wear for an extended period as the boning will poke any fuller parts near it. A garment for true waist training will be lined with an durable, no stretch fabric such as coutil.
